Support MUMC

The Merrimacport United Methodist Church desires to provide a variety of opportunities for people to make a difference in our church, community and world.  As stewards of all God’s gifts, we do this through offering our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. Here are just a few ways you can make a difference:

United Methodist Committee on Relief ( UMCOR ) provides relief supplies help to care for the most vulnerable people during crises. They also help to sustain everyday life by providing necessities to people who lack ready access to essential supplies.

Heifer International provides a gift of hope to a family in need. Your gift will help provide livestock, seeds or training to a family struggling with hunger and poverty.

Giving – Making a gift toward the general church fund will support the many ministries and missions of the church, or making a gift toward the building fund will assist in maintaining the church facility.

Planned Giving Learn how you can allow your gift to last as a legacy to future generations.

Sponsor a Youth to attend Wanakee Methodist Camp by making a gift to this fund, or toward a specific camper.

Hat & Mitten Tree:  Our church provides knitted and purchased hats, mittens, and scarves to Emmaus House, Maris Center, local schools, and other children in need.

Christmas Families:   Every year our church adopts several needy families from the local school system. The families are given gifts from their wish-list along with warm clothes and toiletries.

Merrimac Senior Center Food Pantry:  Our church collects donations of non-perishable food items on an ongoing basis.
