On Sunday, August 24, the Port Church will be co-leading worship in Salisbury with their sister church, East Parish UMC. Worship is at 10am and will be primarily led by camp kids from the churches Vacation Bible Camp. Although this is a camp celebration, all are welcome to attend, and it promises to be an uplifting and exciting time of worship.
One of the many gifts of the United Methodist Church is it’s connectionalism. The East Parish and Port Church are part of the Hope Cluster made up of multiple Methodist churches in the area, and are within the Tri-State District within the New England Conference. Pastors and churches tend to work together within these connections rather than viewing one another as competition. We’re all on the same team and we can bring so many more gifts together than separately.
