God’s 401(k) and Celebrating the Saints

1018Kids heard about “All Heroes Day” (All Saints) – the heroes of the faith, and then made banners during the rest of worship which they then brought in to drape on the Communion Table. They did an amazing job – you can tell they really understood the topic. The Scripture reading was John 6, the story of the little boy who invested in God’s 401(k) by giving all he had – though it wasn’t much Jesus lifted it up, gave thanks, multiplied it (an exponential matching fund!) and gave it out to feed and bless thousands. We had a fun drama of this Bible story, and the actors also helped serve Communion. Amazingly several more baskets of bread appeared and all the leftovers consumed thankfully after worship! Another surprise was a huge bouncy ball (from the Chris Tomlin concert) which we threw around the Sanctuary after worship. Such a fun church! View more pictures on the All Saints Worship Photo Album.
