Mission Trip to NJ

If there is anyone interested in this one-day mission trip described below from Group Publishing, perhaps we could be someone’s answer to prayer in a very real way. It would be great for teens as well as adults – they can use anyone whether experienced or not. Here’s the info, and if you want to get a few neighbors together, or a few folks from church together, it would be awesome. Please contact the church if you decide to go, or if you need assistance in setting it up a trip …

Dear Ministry Leader,

The recent hurricane in the northeast wreaked havoc on many communities, including the town of Keansburg, New Jersey.

Residents are still cleaning up the devastation, and they need your help.

This November and December, join the Big Day of Serving to bring three Disaster Relief events to Keansburg. You’ll serve residents affected by flooding by picking up debris and tearing out drywall, insulation and flooring. You’ll also help residents repair their homes before winter sets in by working on projects like sheet rock installation and painting.

Register today to serve at one of three Saturday events:

November 24 ** December 1 ** December 8

The Big Day of Serving is typically a youth event, but we need your entire church and others you know to partner together to serve Keansburg. Please invite everyone you know to come with you….

  • Youth Groups, Women’s Groups, Men’s Groups, etc
  • People you know from a neighboring community or church
  • Your family, friends, and neighbors

Registration is $20/person and covers the costs of materials to clean up the community, as well as lunch for your group.

Prepare your church to serve this community in a way that will be beyond their wildest imagination. Your service will not only make a physical impact on Keansburg, but you will offer these residents hope as you serve them.

If you have any questions, please call 800-366-8948.

In His service,

Geoff Frahm
Project Coordinator
Big Day of Serving
