On May 18, our church hosted speakers from Rogers Funeral Home (Larry, John and Jason were the presenters) on pre-planning for funeral arrangements; Cannon Murray Law (Bridget Murray) on estate planning and advanced directives; Methodist Foundation (Gary Melville) on Gift Annuities and Pastor Ingrid Cyros who showed a meaningful presentation on photo journaling through grief – a wonderful closure to our workshop and to the whole sermon series on Preparing With Hope. Pat Casey and Joanna Sanferrare put together a whole team of folks who hosted a wonderful luncheon, and several teens supervised kids upstairs. Many commented how helpful these presentations were – one of them: “It was SUPERB- good attendance (with some people I hadn’t seen before), and the speakers were very informative with lots of questions from the audience.” The presentation is being aired regularly on Merrimac TV and can also be viewed at this link: End-Of-Life Workshop On YouTube.
