“Skits and Grits” for Kids continues on Sunday, November 17 for Elementary School ages during worship, meeting Sundays 10am. On some weeks kids acts out Bible stories; other weeks kids cook up tasty recipes that teach a culinary skill as well as connect with the Bible. Our first session began with a hilarious skit that put a social media spin on the old Adam and Eve story! The next week kids made “manna fondu” (from the Hebrew Exodus story), then cake pops including an exercise in gleaning oatmeal from flour (from the story of Ruth and Naomi). Last time kids baked stuffed shells to serve at the Emmaus House Family Shelter (Matthew 25 on serving the poor). This Sunday kids will be making caramel-chocolate coins and learning about the Widow who Jesus pointed out as hero of giving! To register, please print and fill out a registration form and bring with you Sunday. Newcomers welcome!
