Skits & Grits This Sunday

P1010342“Skits and Grits” for Kids continues on October 27 for Elementary School ages during worship, meeting Sundays 10am on  10/27, 11/17 and 11/24. On some weeks kids acts out Bible stories; other weeks kids cook up tasty recipes that teach a culinary skill as well as connect with the Bible.  Our first session began with a hilarious skit that put a social media spin on the old Adam and Eve story! The next week kids made “manna fondu” (from the Hebrew Exodus story), then cake pops including an exercise in gleaning oatmeal from flour (from the story of Ruth and Naomi) and this Sunday kids will be baking stuffed shells to serve at the Emmaus House Family Shelter (Matthew 25 on serving the poor).   In November we’ll be cooking and acting with kids performing skits of Bible stories in fun, modern-language skits followed by discussion.  To register, please print and fill out a registration form and bring with you Sunday. Newcomers welcome!
